The Process of Creating Thermoform Plastic BlistersThe process of creating thermoform plastic blisters is one that is performed by large manufacturing equipment. There is little human involvement in the process; however, it is important that people carefully watch the process because a small malfunction could result in hundreds of mis-formed thermoform plastic blisters. To begin the process, a plastic sheet is guided through a heated station on the blister-forming machine. The heat will cause the plastic to become soft and moldable. The plastic sheet will then continue through the machine to the forming station where pressure is used to create a negative mold. The plastic is then allowed to cool so that it will retain its shape. Now the thermoform plastic blisters are ready to receive products.
