Uses for Thermoform Plastic BlistersThermoform plastic blisters are a commonly used packaging material for many different types of products. The pharmaceutical industry is one that relies heavily on thermoform plastic blisters as a method of packaging individual doses of different medications. There are many benefits of using thermoform plastic blisters for pharmaceutical packaging. One benefit is that medications stored in blister packs will have a longer shelf life than products stored in bottles. This is because the medication will not be exposed to air or moisture until seconds before it is ingested. Another benefit is that many elderly patients have a difficult time opening pill bottles; however, with blister packs they can simply push their pills through the back of the blister and avoid dealing with a bottle.
